MONTH 1/Week 2


Week 2

Introduction

Plan for the Week

  • To learn what Muslims say on different occasions.
  • To continue memorizing Surah Al-Fathiha.
  • To learn the dua before eating.
  • To learn the sunnah before going to eat.
  • To understand English and Islamic calendar.
  • To understand the concept of weather.
  • To understand who is Allah.
  • To recognize and read uppercase and lowercase B.
  • To recognize and read letter Ba.
  • To recognize and understand the concept of number 2.
  • To recognize the red and brown colors.
  • To recognize circle shape.

Equipments Required


  • A Calendar.
  • A weather wheel can be downloaded from here Weather Wheel or can be made by self.
  • Computer and Internet connection.
  • A Printer.

Circle time of week 2


  • Greet each other with salam and teach them that every muslim should say salam to each other before they start talking.
  • Then recite surah fathiha, ikhlas, nas and falak along with a durood in the beginning and one in the end.
  • Make them repeat the dua rabbi zidni ilma.
  • Tell them the date, day of the week and the month using a calander. Both English as well as Hijri calendar. Ask the child to cross out the day on calendar using a marker.
  • Talk about the day's weather and show it on the weather dial. Ie if the weather is sunny, point it to the sun in the weather dail.
  • Show and read the  about Allah from the Book.
  • Teach them the Sunnah before eating.

Day 5


Note: It might take few minutes. Day 5 consists of the revision of that week only. Days 6 and 7 are off.

  • Make them recite Fathiha and see how much they have learned.
  • Same procedure for the Dua.
  • Ask them who is Allah and discuss.
  • Ask them the Sunnah before going to eat.
  • See if they can identify Upper-case B, lower-case b, number 2, red color, brown color and the circle shape.
  • Work on the things that you think is required for the child.
